Learn to implement an effective Erosion and Sedimentation Control Program

This is a CERTIFICATION course, not a renewal or recertification course. If you can look up your Level 1A certification on this website on the state's GSWCC website, you will need to take a RECERTIFICATION course. HB Next now offers the Level 1A recertification online. Click here to find information and a link to the online recert class on the GAHBA Education webpage.

In the NPDES Level 1A certification course, attendees will learn to implement an effective Erosion and Sedimentation Control Program. Attendees will also learn NPDES documentation requirements, how to properly inspect BMP's and will obtain an introduction to the Georgia Erosion and Sedimentation Act (GESA). A written exam is administered upon conclusion of the course. All applicants taking this course are required to submit lawful presence documentation to the Georgia Soil & Water Conservation Commission (GSWCC).

The Level 1A class is taught through a partnership with HB NEXT.
