COMMITTED TO GIVE BACK: HOMEAID GEORGIA
HomeAid Georgia (formerly HomeAid Atlanta), founded in 2001, is the designated charity of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association. A local affiliate of HomeAid America, HomeAid Georgia is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing safe and dignified housing and programmatic facilities for those experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
HomeAid Georgia’s mission is to help people experiencing or at risk of homelessness build new lives through construction, community engagement, and education. HomeAid builds, renovates, and maintains facilities for nonprofits serving people experiencing homelessness. HomeAid has completed over 200 construction projects at locations for victims of domestic violence, teen mothers, veterans and more, utilizing connections with building industry professionals and community organizations. HomeAid also provides essential items like diapers, wipes, and hygiene products to those affected by homelessness. Each year GAHBA members support HomeAid Georgia by serving as builder captains, donors, and volunteers. HomeAid Georgia’s annual outreach events include Care Days, CareKits, the Essentials Drive, which collects supplies for homeless mothers and their babies each Mother’s Day, the Hope & Homes Golf Tournament, and more.
